The 50's
Mr. Manuel do Rosário Ferro, the father of the current managing partner, did the traditional hog slaughter at home and artisanally produced the smoke sausages he sold at the grocery store he owned.
2000
Entry into the initiative of the Terras Dentro – Association for the Integrated Development of Rural Micro Regions, with the purpose of valorizing the traditional products and systems of the Region.
2010
Fercarnes embraces a county project called “Sentidos de Portel”, whose objective is to promote the products produced in the municipality of Portel.
2011
Launched the new image of Fercarnes, where the logo gains a new dynamic. Acquires the 2011 SME Líder Statue, awarded by Caixa Geral de Depósitos.
Launch of the new products: the Painho and the Black Pork Linguine of Garlic and Salt, and the Fininhos Bem Alentejanos range.
2012/13
Renovation of the PME Líder Statue, by Caixa Geral de Depósitos. The company is SME Leader three consecutive years. In the year 2013 we launched Flour Smoked Sausage with Oregano a product Bem Alentejano from Fercarnes.
